Armed with 2 roller blades and a great Ipod sound system the Pacific Beach and Mission Beach regular makes his days by going up and down the boardwalks skating in "Slo Motion". Slo Mo is one of the many regular faces you see when spending time at the beach.

Nice doggie:-))...At almost 5 feet tall and 210 pounds this is one little doggie you want to be happy. This was a very sweet and gentle dog with a very friendly attitude and is a good example at the wide range of dogs you see at the beach. Dog's are not allowed on the beach from 9AM to 6PM. Not a bad thing really since big dog's like this one would rather be in some cool shade anyway.

Super high surf and tides hit in mid march along the coastline. What do you do whan a 10 foot wave crashes in front of you?...Duck down deep!

This is a look at Neptune Street in La Jolla, which was one of the only places surfers could be found. This type of surf seperates the pro's from the amatuers and is very dangerous for those not very good.

The high tides in March covered the entire beach area and washed up on the boardwalk through the drainage holes in the wall. It took more than a week to get all the sand of this section of the boardwalk.

The Day of the Monarch Butterflies

In early April a nice Santa Ana warm spell came into San Diego and brought MILLIONS of Monarch Butterflies with it. For about 2 days butterflies were EVERYWHERE!

People biking down the boardwalk or street areas had to duck as the butterflies swarmed onto the beach areas and inland from the warm winds

Here you can see 2 butterflies to the left although there were hundreds around when the photo was taken. Most are just specks that are further away.
